Some new wall & Menu icons (=^__^=)

I've always been concerned about the general lack of resources of VS series customization on the net.. I know that these mobiles are pretty old but in western sites you can't even find old posts with some good stuff to download (or there is only few)..
Maybe the fun in customization is prerogative only of asian forums and blogs?

Indeed I was really surprised to find an incredible amount of free stuff on Japanese websites for their keitai menu icons.. I was pretty convinced that most of the japanese stuff was only for "pay and direct-download" option.. but I was wrong \(^o\) (/o^)/

Sure the japanese menu icons cannot be used on VS series mobiles since they are totally different from our menus (oh my.. you can customize almost everything on japanese keitais also drm icons.. backgrounds animations etc etc .. I'm so envious.. I have to consider to lay my hands on one of those monster-phones.. a mitsubishi d905i would be fantastic.. ^^;)

Anyway you can just adapt what you find with some photoshoppin' (=^v^=)

I've decided also to upload the Mario Bros menu icon set and wall because I'm currently using it.. it's really great and the outcome on vs7 is outstanding!
The wallpaper is my creation and the menu icon is a re-edit and photoshoppin' of free stuff I've grabbed on a japanese forum (but I don't know who posted them so I canno't thank him here)

New Jacket after long time..

Today I had some fun creating a new jacket for my vs7..

I used an old Sanrio "Chibimaru" letter envelope out of my old huge box of trifling japanese goods... For many years I've been so proud and jealous of all the stuff I collected from sanrio and san-x that the thought of making an use of it was simply out of the question..

Now I'm way more relaxed about all this 'poppycock' so I can freely waste all these fancy goods just for their original purpose.. to have fun using them.. (*^__^*)

I love it.. that's the main feature it prompted me to buy one..)

few weeks ago while i was lurking around as usual in a High-tech store here in Rome I laid my hands on a beautiful HTC DIAMOND brochure.. there were also some promotional postcards you could get.. and I pinched a couple with the purpose of creating a new jacket for VS7..

Those postcards were really stunning.. they were laminated glossy black hologram cards and the graphics changed by moving the card..

I thought it could turn out an awesome jacket.. but I WAS WRONG!

while i was cutting the film pack (a plastic laminated cardboard) the hologram got messed up because air filtered underneath the plastic and created some bubbles..

I got mad.. That Holographic jacket sure would have been great if I could manage to cut it in the right way... (O_o) ...... (T_T) sob sob..

In the end I picked again the HTC brochure (plain black paper) and I cutted it to have a new Jacket..

mumble mumble.. I was so disappointed at first for my fully unsuccessful holographic cover that I couldn't consider this plain new jacket as barely attractive.. but now I must admit that I like it very much..

Some days ago.. Suzie, that pestilential black lille female cat that "live together with" my beloved old chubby and furry tom-cat (named Lupp).. thought well of jumping on a cuuute Sanrio merchandising that was hung on my bookshelf since ages.. and obviously she wrecked it.. ( oh noooooooooooooo!!!)

It was a really nice "kuru kuru mobile card" from SANRIO GIFT with all the HELLO KITTY family dressed in kimono suit resembling something like an old Japanese Imperial Family.. (LOL... soo stuupid and yet so damned cute!!)

I couldn't find a picture on the web of this "Ureshihina Matsuri" Mobile card (happy festival mob card) but I found something similar just to give you an idea of how it worked on my bracket..

That continuous spinning and winding up of the family tree over my head was so delightful.. and it brought always a snippet of joy to me.. but now I realize that it was a also terrific temptation in Suzie's opinion.. (she is a PLAGUE!!)

The family tree had been totally destroyed but after an initial shock and anger I could turn it into a STUNNING and unique new DIY custom jacket for my beloved yet twat mobile (phone).. (LOL)

It was a real pain in the neck to cut it with sharpness and accuracy because the card was made of (not so) thin cardboard.. but after saying so many obscenities & curses to Suzie I can say that the outcome is terrific!!

(The gold behind Daniel & Kitty mirrors the light and it makes the cover really shining!!)

My new LISMO strap has arrived!! (Celebrate, Come on^^)

Registered mail seems to be pretty fast from Malaysia and I'm very happy of the new bounch of cell phone straps I got it lately!!
I've bought my first LISMO strap with display cleaner..

In the same parcel I received also 2 Softbank-Sharp 812sh "Pantone Edition" colourful straps..

Pantone phones (Softbank 812 sh) are really cool. There are about 24 different colors out and you can choose the one you like most..

They are all beautiful Pantone colors and in my opinion it should be very hard to choose the fave one among soo many attractive nuances..

apparently there should be a different phone strap for any colour.. I've bought only the red and orange ones.. I liked also the purple and violet-blue ed. that were available at the time of my order but I ran out of money (LOL) (^^;)

The last strap I received in the very same day it was sent from Japan and it is a pretty rare promo merchandise for SEGA Dreamcast console. It is a red lacet with a funny toy charm that depict Mr. Yukawa Hidekazu (SEGA Enterprises office executive) who in 1998 was main star of Dreamcast launch ad campaign.

The japanese writings on the blister says "Ganbare!! Yukawa senmu" (Cheer up!!-Do your best! Managing Director Yukawa)...
It is soo funny and pretty unconventional (^-^')

Onitsuka Ltd is one of the most popular Japanese brand for Sporty Shoes and sneakers, marketed worldwide by Asics Corps. (same company), this brand has succeded in mantainig its philosophy to create "made in Japan"shoes with young and appealing charm.

some days ago I ran into a nice advertising Onitsuka pampleth and soon thought it could be funny to design a new DIY custom jacket..

It's fresh - summerlike - colourful and very sporty (despite of my brash lazy attitude) (^-^')

I used two paper sheets (the lower one has to be thicker) to avoid bubbles and waves and this trick is very helpful to obtain a nice custom jacket cover o(^-^o)(o^-^)o

Burberry Rocks!!

it's probably my best jacket so far..

can't stop cherish my stupid phone since I made the Burberry Brit DIY custom jacket.. ( *^.^) (lots of caresses)

everything came out soo smooth this time..

ok, maybe I was just lucky^^

As I told you last time I suspected that using multiple paper sheets for a thin and light jacket could lead up to a better outcome and I was correct :-)

The paper I used for the Brit's Jacket was a simple advertising picture (magazine cutting), very thin and frail. To avoid waves I just put a second jacket (slightly bulker paper) under the Burberry one.. and it's perfect!

The fragrance of Burberry Brit is one of my favourite ever (along with Dior's Fahrenheit) and the distinctive Burberry's check pattern is incredibly stilish and refined in light grey nuances..

I'm very pleased with my newest cover^^

SAILOR MOON... Tsuki ni kawatte.. oshiokiyo!!!!

I remember with some fondness that in high school my friends & I were totally obsessed with the pretty soldier Sailor Moon anime. Everyone had his/her fave character and after a first crush on Minako (Sailor Venus), I had been completely mesmerized by the ambiguous charm of Sailor Uranus..

Haruka was powerful & elegant and because of her tomboy quality she was thought at first to be a guy.. yet she was soo beautiful!! Her complex femininity unveiled itself on her lesbian love with Neptune, she was so tender, devoted and protective..

I couldn't help but love her..

Few days ago while doing some "spring cleaning" (summer spring-cleaning? LOL) in my room I found some old cuttings and cards and merchandising I collected in those days..

That's a great chance to make a new jacket.. stuupid-Me thought.. (^-^')



as usual I tell myself I have to do some more accurate work..
there's a new and fresh proclivity to maniac perfectionism inside me.. nothing related to something useful as my thesis or my studies.. but a perfectionism for foolish and futile things..

but that's me..

To make this cover I used an old Sailor Moon cards' packaging bag..
That laminated sheet turned out to be way too much light & thin.. and under the clear panel it has made some wavy parts.. (luckly not so noticeable)

mumble mumble.. maybe I have to put some other paper sheet under the sailor cover.. I'll think it over and will make eventual modifications in future :)



anyway I like the outcome even though not perfect ^^,



why dont we make a complete sailor-customization this time?

I've found a sailor moon fan-site soo cool these days, I've asked the owner if I could use some flash animations she posted on her site to create some wallpapers to put here, she is very gentle and I suggest you visit her site if you're fond of sailormoon anime.. there's tons of cute stuff^^
